On May 30, 1967, the secession of Biafra was developed as a way of being against oppression and marginalization by the Nigerian government. The Biafra genocide has affected thousands of individuals, causing human rights violations. While the war was long over, it has become part of Nigerian history and remains to affect Biafra people up to date.
We at RisingSun Charities Organization have advocated for Biafra restoration in New Jersey with volunteers helping us worldwide. Thankfully, a lot of people continue to show compassion for Biafra people’s rights by offering help. If you want to help, here are some ways to do so:
- Donation
Any amount of donation can help achieve Biafra restoration. Your donated money can help our cause and our programs. Our programs include social services and legal support. Your money will benefit Biafra people living in various areas of the world. Interestingly, donating can have surprising benefits, including achieving a sense of fulfillment.
- Achieving awareness
Achieving awareness is crucial when you want to support the Biafra restoration. Being aware of what happened in the past and how it affected the present opens more information about the human rights violations, oppression, Biafra Referendum, and the aftermath of the conflict. We are more open to the issues that continue helping the Igbo people and putting pressure on the Nigerian government.
- Advocating
When we are aware, we advocate. We advocate for fairness and the rights of the oppressed. As a non-profit organization in Newark, New Jersey, we advocate Biafra restoration, historical context, and how it can improve the lives of Igbos.
There are various ways one can help with the Biafra restoration. When you want to donate and help us with our case, do not hesitate to contact us.
