The Biafra Genocide– or the civil war, took place from 1967 to 1970. After the war, the aftermath has been experienced throughout Biafra. These aftermaths include the destruction of public infrastructure, death, and people displacement.
In the war, survivors may experience horrors from the war, which can affect their well-being and social function. They may have a poorer quality of life as they relive the haunted memories of the Nigerian war. As a non-profit organization in Newark, New Jersey, we strive to help the survivors and their family members attain an improved quality of life.
We at RisingSun Charities Organization will provide services and programs for them to achieve an improved life while overcoming their memories of the war.
- Counseling and Other Services
Our social services include counseling, healthcare planning, and lobbying. We understand that every survivor has a different story during the war. Regardless, their stories led to a gruesome fate, and we are eager to help them achieve a comfortable social life.
- Advocating Biafran Human Rights
Advocating for Biafra restoration in New Jersey is necessary to share with others the untold horrific stories of Biafran survivors. Encouraging and calling out the importance of Biafran human rights helps target the Nigerian government to pass laws to help survivors and victims of the civil war.
Let us all help Biafran survivors attain the peaceful life that they deserve. It includes the Biafra Referendum, Biafran human rights, and laws to improve their quality of life. If you want to help, you can reach out to our programs.
