Ethnic cleansing involves creating ethnically homogenous geographic areas through deportation. It involves the forcible displacement of persons belonging to a specific ethnic group and violates our advocacy & human rights. In some cases, it may involve the removal of physical vestiges that are related to the targeted group, such as the destruction of monuments and houses of worship.
The act of ethnic cleansing is, unfortunately, not recognized as an independent crime under international law. Hence, there is no precise definition of the concept or specific acts that are qualified as ethnic cleansing. As a concept, however, it is considered morally wrong and has generated considerable controversy, with many seeing little difference between it and genocide.
Ethnic cleansing may be a part of a continuum of violence where the most extreme form is genocide. It is similar to forced population transfer or deportation while genocide is the attempt to destroy part or all aspects of a particular racial, ethnic, or national group. To help prevent this, we have organized several programs and campaigns as a non-profit organization in Newark, New Jersey.
We utilize a proactive approach to promote the welfare of our Biafran brothers and sisters and support the Biafra Referendum. Part of our core mission is to solicit and negotiate legal assistance to the Biafran people who are experiencing inhuman or unjust treatment, especially in the Biafra land.
To aid in the Biafra restoration in New Jersey, we at RisingSun Charities Organization are against the Nigerian Jihadist Government and their attempts to infringe on the international and national human rights of the Biafran people. This includes any attempt to commit genocide again in Biafran land. To learn how you can support our advocacy, get in touch with us.
